Colony is an American sci-fi drama television series, starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies (if you don’t know who she is, she was in The Waling Dead). This serie strangely doesn’t look like science-fiction, but what Donald Trump’s wall would look like… in an other world… and if he had the same budget as the aliens.

Even in the first episode of the first season, I got the chills. It was like deja vu. You’ll see how you feel when you’ll get your first look that big wall. Although it’s kind of scary, it is really well done by the creators of the show. The infrastructure is immense, impenetrable and send a powerful message, just like what Trump wanted his wall to sent to the people. In the Colony tv serie, it sends the same message, but we discover that there are other ways to get through the great big wall. Personally, there’s always another way to get through things. A wall won’t change the determination and the courage of the people and that’s what we learn by watching Bowman’s family facing many obstacles in their quest of finding their lost son Charlie.

Moreover, when the Hosts arrive on Earth and install their wall all over Los Angeles, humans know at that moment that their power is unknown, but it will surely make a huge (with Donald Trump’s voice) impact on their lives. The only thing is that from the beginning of the first season, we wonder how did the Hosts put the wall and then, the moment arrives and you see the spaceships or… I don’t even know how to call them. I don’t have the words to describe them properly, because they were not like the usual spaceship.

Finally, this tv serie is a brief preview of what a wall like this can bring; chaos and the end of democracy. On the other hand, we have a great example of how the people should react to these changes. I think we discover who we really are in situations of chaos and anarchy. That’s what some of the characters discover. For example, those in The Resistance, it’s a group of people who are against the Hosts and their way of ruling. In conclusion, groups of people with

different ideologies and principles will have theirs stories intertwine with each other and that’s why Colony will keep you on edge and hooked.
