A russian startup presented a fully-manned hoverbike : the Scorpion-3.

There was the project of the Australian designer Chris Malloy, the Drone 3.

Then we have the project of the US Army, the Joint Tactical Aerial Resupply Vehicle.

Now we have to count on Hoversurf, a russian manufacturer specialized in human-carrying drone. He presented recently an hoverbike which combines motorcycle’s design and quadcopter technology ; the Scorpion-3.

The vehicle has a specificity : it can be fully controlled by the human pilot. For now, speed and altitude have been limited for security reason.

Hoversurf hopes that its electric airborne vessel will soon become a common means of transport like car or train.

Geeks hope that they will soon repoduce the Speeder Bike Chase scene from « Return of the Jedi ».
