With a season seven almost modeled on the comics, how could finish this season next Sunday on AMC? Beginning of answer.
More than a final episode to conclude this seventh season which will have experienced a very violent start for a sawtooth continuation. And like previous seasons, it will have followed almost literally some passages of the comics, thus resting on the story created by Kirkman. From the death of Glenn identical to that drawn by Charlie Adlard and the death of Abraham to the reversal of Dwight's situation, how will this season end if the writers have followed the comic to the letter?
Sasha is the key to the final plot
Captured alive by the men of Negan as she was about to kill the charismatic leader of the Saviors, Sasha is held prisoner and saved from rape by Negan. A scene familiar to the readers of the comic as this is what happens to the character of Holly, ex of Abraham party in search of revenge to assassinate the possessor of Lucille. Based on his story, which was very similar to Sasha's, Negan could use it as a bargaining chip to capture Dwight, who was captured in the Alexandria camp when he came to suggest that Rick be double agent. The head hidden under a bag, Negan gives Rick a freshly deceased Holly and eager for human flesh that will bite some Alexandria members before Rick kills her definitely with a bullet in the head. When one knows that Eugene to give Sasha a pill of his conception to die, one quickly sees the common points between his two characters and a potential end for Sasha and the season that would end like it began: bloody.
Who sold the wick to Negan for Rick's attack
When Negan converses with Sasha in his cell, he learns from his mouth that someone has given the chief of Saviors information about what Rick and his group are preparing against him. But who could have sold the wick? Although I would lean personally for Enid, who is an ambiguous, secretive and unknown person who would create a great turnaround, in the comic it is Gregory, the leader of The Hill who returns his jacket to rally in Negan. At the time of the battle against Negan, he taught Alexandria that The Hill had joined him and an outburst of violence and destruction broke out on both groups in one of the most memorable battles of the comics The Walking Dead.
Dwight becomes double agent
Daryl's worst enemy is preparing to return his jacket and join Rick's camp to overthrow the dictator who captured and raped his wife without Dwight can move a little finger under pain of dying. In the series, we are depicted little by little the reversal of position of Dwight who goes so far as to make assassinate the doctor of the camp to cover himself and his wife freshly fled.
Be careful, however, with his information, they come from the comics and will be potentially different in the last episode of season 7: The First Day of the Rest of Your Life broadcast next Sunday on AMC.
