Batgirl, one of the most popular heroins in the world is about to have her own solo movie... directed by Joss Whedon !
After he left Marvel, because of Avengers 2 bad reputation, Joss Whedon has declared he won't join the MCU anymore, except for a film about Black Widow. Nevertheless, he recently announced that he was on a project with Warner Bros, and, this time, about the famous Batgirl !
The two other producers attached to the project (which is, for the moment, untitled), are Jon Berg and Geoff Johns. According to Warner Bros' CEO Toby Emmerich, Whedon will soon meet them to discuss about this huge film.
It would be the second DCEU film about a heroin, after Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, which will be released on June 2nd. Warner Bros studios are still preparing other films, such as a Suicide Squad sequel, a film about Gotham City Sirens, a spinoff about Harley Quinn, The Batman, but also movies about Shazam, Black Adam, The Flash and Cyborg.
