George Romero: the inventor of the modern zombie
George Romero, the director of The Day of the living-dead and among others Zombie died yesterday in his sleep following a cancer of the lungs. He died peacefully at the age of 77 when watching his favorite movie The Quiet Man of John Ford.
He was the creator of the zombie film as we know it today. With his film The Day of the Living Dead, he will shake the cinema of horror and give the film of zombie its letters of nobility.

Martin Landau: a career in science fiction
Parallel to the announcement of the death of Romero, we learn that of the actor Martin Landau, who had distinguished himself in the series Mission Impossible before being replaced by Leonard Nimoy, but especially for its role in the cult series Cosmos 1999.
He died of medical complications at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 89.
He was featured in science fiction movies such as Meteor in 1979 and Without Warning in 1980 before shooting for Tim Burton for which he will feature Bela Lugosi in the movie Ed Wood and the first victim of The Headless Horseman in the Movie Sleepy Hollow.
