Star Trek Panel on the occasion of 50 years of the license this year was an opportunity for CBS to reveal new information about the series coming next year in particular via a teaser.

After 8 months of speculation about the new Star Trek series to be released in January 2017, CBS finally reveals specific information about the newborn's license Gene Roddenberry. So we know now that the series will be called Star Trek Discovery and will put forward a new ship with the NCC-2031 model number.

The series will not have a traditional episodic format with a different story per episode, but will be structured into chapters which will extend over several episodes. In addition to its information, a video showing us the USS Discovery was put online.
